THE ASGGN TOOLKIT - BACKGROUND

RESOURCES FOR THE ANIMAL SCIENCE GENETICS AND GENOMICS NETWORK

The Animal Selection Genetics and Genomics Network (ASGGN) is an international group committed to reducing enteric methane emissions from livestock using selective breeding, and associated techniques (phenotyping, genetic and genomic selection, breeding program design and implementation).

To facilitate collaboration we have developed a Toolkit which offers members of the ASGGN a set of guidelines and useful documents. We anticipate these will be used by researchers, and their organisations, to streamline the processes needed to work together in a coordinated international research effort.
